PDA to host Anti-racist Pharmacy Toolkit launch event

Last year, PDA BAME Network members raised concerns of racism still prevalent in pharmacy in a survey and during the 'No more tick boxes' event. In response, the PDA BAME committee is launching the PDA Anti-Racist Pharmacy Toolkit this summer to help members lead change in the workplace.

Scottish government offer NHS Scotland employees 5% pay increase

This week (15 June) members employed on Agenda for Change terms and conditions in the NHS in Scotland, along with all NHS Scotland employees have been offered a pay increase of 5%. Covering all 160,000 employees working in the NHS in Scotland, this will now be considered by unions representing the NHS Scotland workforce.

PDA expresses concerns about decision not to fund Designated Prescribing Practitioners

‘Back-fill’ funding will not be available for pharmacists undertaking Independent Prescribing training, Designated Medical Practitioners (DMPs), or Designated Prescribing Practitioners (DPPs).

Regulations passed to enable pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to issue fit notes

The changes, which take effect on 1 July 2022, will apply across England, Scotland, and Wales following moves in April this year, allowing fit notes to be certified and issued digitally.

PDA responds to announcements about CCA members being acquired

PDA Equalities Council meet to discuss intersectional issues
