Tragic death of student highlights the need to promote sources of help and guidance

The PDA wishes to reiterate sincere condolences to the family and friends of pharmacy student Mared Foulkes who took her own life in 2021 after receiving exam results that suggested she had failed, when in fact she had passed on a resit.

LloydsPharmacy pay negotiations begin

The PDA Union has submitted its first-ever pay claim on behalf of pharmacists employed by LloydsPharmacy. The pay claim seeks an increase above price inflation to help restore the purchasing power of members’ income.

The importance of differentiating professional and technical aspects of pharmacy

The PDA wants to encourage more debate about the role of pharmacy technicians. This comes after several pharmacists based in GP surgeries wrote to voice their concerns about a muddling of the pharmacy technician’s role and responsibilities in GP practices.
