GPhC exam dates announced for 19/20 pre-reg cohort and resitters

The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) have announced two dates for the pre-reg exam in March 2021, which for the first time ever will be undertaken on-line.

Another success for pharmacists at Lloydspharmacy as trade union bargaining unit decided

Pharmacists at Lloyds have moved another step closer to securing an independent voice at work through their trade union, the PDAU. The Central Arbitration Committee (CAC) have decided which pharmacists will be in scope of union recognition; accepting in full the PDA proposal and rejecting entirely the company’s alternative.

High court legal victory strengthens health and safety rights for locum pharmacists

Pay and bonus update at Boots

Despite missing company financial goals last year, Boots have unexpectedly announced that a proportion of the discretionary annual bonus scheme will be paid to “bonus-eligible” employees, which includes pharmacists, in respect of their contribution in the year up to August 2020. The last trading year was an extremely difficult time for Boots’ employees to have achieved targets due to the pandemic and the PDA welcome this decision.
