VACCINATIONS: All vaccinations delivered by suitably trained pharmacists have always been covered by indemnity insurance as part of the standard PDA membership apart from Covid-19. For new membership renewals after January 1st, 2026, Covid-19 vaccinations are now also automatically covered.

  • Celebrating 75 years of the NHS

    Today (5 July) marks the NHS’ 75th birthday. While PDA members recognise there are many challenges facing the service, it is also important we take time to recognise the impact the NHS has upon the nation, and has done for three quarters of a century. To celebrate this momentous day the PDA is sharing some of the NHS’ key achievements over the last year which have benefited patients in the UK.  

  • PDA Reps Network in the NHS meet for the first time

    Following a rise in the number of PDA Representatives (Reps) within the NHS, the PDA set up an NHS Reps Network to create an opportunity for reps to meet and share their experiences. The network met for the first-time last week (27 June). Below is a summary of what was discussed.

  • NHS pay agreement reached

    Following a meeting of the NHS Staff Council on 2 May, the pay offer made by the government to increase NHS Agenda for Change pay rates by 5%, plus a one-off lump sum worth about 6%, for PDA Union members has now been agreed. 

  • Outcome of NHS pay offer consultation

    The PDA emailed members employed in the NHS on 20 March. The email included details of a survey for members to complete on the latest position regarding NHS pay in the four countries, the PDA is now able to advise members of the responses to that survey.
