Health Education England announce funded independent prescribing courses available before March 2022

Universities who offer GPhC accredited Independent Prescribing (IP) and Clinically Enhanced Pharmacist Independent Prescribing Course (CEPIP) have been working with Health Education England (HEE) to provide an initial offer for courses that will be available before March 2022 for eligible pharmacists. The PDA calls for additional funding and more notice of opportunities, in order to support participation.

PDA secures nearly £196K in payments for pharmacists through recent tribunal claims

The pharmacists' role in the healthcare sector has been key to the success of the vaccination campaign thus far by reassuring hesitant patients and administering first, second and booster vaccines.

PDA responds to the DHSC consultation on the NHS Pension Scheme

The scheme was launched in October 2021 and proposes to include basing members’ contribution rates on actual annual salaries and reducing the cross-subsidy between higher and lower earners.
